In the spring of my sophomore year at UNC-Chapel Hill, I acted as a designer for the "Threads of the Mind" fashion show hosted by the organizations UNC Art and the Brain and Coulture Magazine. As a designer, my role included researching a mental disorder/condition and subsequently designing and creating a fashion piece representative of it.

For this project, I chose to research narcissistic personality disorder and created a design that reflects how the disorder can cause a person to "only see themselves", as shown by the mirror tiles and mirrored sunglasses.

In my sophomore year at UNC-Chapel Hill, my design was chosen for the Winter 2024 merchandise collection for UNC's Muslim Students Association.

For this project, it was important for me to consider a wide audience when creating this design, while keeping in mind the religious context of the organization. I chose to base this design around an olive tree to avoid creating a visual representation of faces/life (for religious reasons) while simultaneously acknowledging the Middle East/Mediterranean region, which carries great importance in Islam.
